WasteNot Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WasteNot mobile application ("App") operated by Rouxbee LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

WasteNot is a food waste reduction app that uses AI to help you identify ingredients from photos of your refrigerator or pantry and generate recipe suggestions based on what you have on hand. Features include ingredient scanning, pantry management, recipe generation, recipe saving, and community recipe sharing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.

3. User Responsibilities

By using WasteNot, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not submit photos, reviews, recipes, or other content that is offensive, harmful, illegal, or infringes on the rights of others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the App or its backend services
• Not use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to interact with the App
• Not impersonate any person or entity in any content you submit

4. User-Submitted Content

If you submit content to WasteNot (such as recipe ratings, written reviews, or recipes), you grant Rouxbee LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and use that content within the App and related services. You retain ownership of content you create.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.

5. AI-Generated Content

Recipes and ingredient suggestions generated by WasteNot are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, safety, or nutritional accuracy of AI-generated content. Always use your own judgment when preparing food, particularly regarding food allergies, dietary restrictions, and safe food handling. Do not rely solely on AI-generated recipes for medical or dietary needs.

6. Intellectual Property

The WasteNot name, logo, app design, and all original content created by Rouxbee LLC are the property of Rouxbee LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Anthropic's Claude AI and Cloudflare. Your use of these services through the App is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROUXBEE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rouxbee LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Locally stored data on your device will remain until you delete the App.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts located in Texas.
